Dynamic Device Discovery

Description

Selector automates network device discovery and synchronization with CMDB. It enables zero-touch provisioning through continuous scanning, SNMP-based telemetry collection, and real-time inventory updates. LLDP and CDP data help create network topology visualizations, while collected metadata, like geographic coordinates, drives GenAI-powered natural language queries and GeoMap visualizations.

Narrator: With Selector, automate the discovery of devices and how they are connected to the network. Seamlessly synchronize the inventory and metadata with your CMDB.

Continuous scanning and discovery of network devices enables zero-touch provisioning. Freshly detected devices are fingerprinted, and SNMP collection templates trigger immediate collection of SNMP-based telemetry.

You can display discovered devices in the inventory widget.

Hover over a device to view a quick summary.

LLDP and CDP data is also automatically collected from supported devices, and used to generate a topology of device connectivity across the network.

Topology visualizations enable users to explore the connectivity of individual devices or the network as a whole.

Create intuitive dashboards by combining the widgets.

Selector further enables the collection and storage of complementary metadata such as latitude and longitude.

Selector automatically leverages this type of metadata to drive GenAI-based natural language querying and GeoMap topology visualization.
